DOWN TO EARTH / RESOURCEFUL / EXPERIENCED
BACKGROUND & INSPIRATION
I grew up on Oahu in a beachfront home that might be considered small in relation to the property, but was intentionally built that way to provide an ocean view from every room. There was plenty of lawn for large family gatherings, and it had timeless finishes that withstood 50 years of sandy feet and wet bathing suits. Down to earth values and an emphasis on function and practicality have influenced the direction of projects throughout my design career. Now after having spent 40 years in Southern California, I've accumulated experience blending this casual practicality with the more refined preferences of our local community.
AESTHETIC
Most of the homes I design today include elegant yet casual, light-filled, open spaces that were inspired by an island lifestyle. The use of natural materials and textures, serene hues reminiscent of the Pacific Ocean, and the relaxed, tranquil feelings they evoke, translate to the casually inviting, comfortably livable style that defines Dwellings Design Group today.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
After earning degrees in both Entrepreneurship and Interior Design, I'm fortunate to now have over 30 years of industry experience; drawing plans, selecting materials, and managing dozens of custom home construction projects.
FEEL GOOD SPACES
I put much thought into the best uses of space and how people and light will flow through them. While each project has a unique aesthetic, my goal is to create spaces that not only look good, but that function well, and make people feel good when they're in them (although they may not know why.)
STRATEGIC THINKING
On the job I'm a creative problem solver and like to think I make good ideas even better. If you tell me something "can't be done," I'll likely come up with a way to make it happen, and it might even end up being your favorite feature.

At Dwellings, we focus exclusively on home construction which allows us to have the time and attention to develop in-depth resources and expert strategies related to our specific niche. We regularly attend trade shows that are specific to the building industry, and spend a considerable amount of time researching the latest resources and techniques.
A STEWARD OF OUR CLIENTS RESOURCES
Our goal is to provide clients with their ideal home while maximizing their resources. Even with the most generous of budgets, we protect our client's best interest in ways that won't compromise the end result. We don't believe, however, that the least expensive options are necessarily the best, and we might suggest a more expensive material or solution if we believe it's in the best interest of the project.
REFERRAL BASED
For over 30 years, our steady stream of projects has come entirely from word of mouth referrals from Builders, Architects, and repeat clients. We are grateful for these introductions, and we look forward to delighting new clients so they too will want to tell friends about us or bring us along on their next projects.

We take pride in implementing each construction project with impeccable integrity, transparency, and accountability, and consider each intricate detail of a home as if it were our own.
